It was a hive of activity when a group of 1st time hunters arrived from Mexico to hunt at Wintershoek. Hector Aguilar Rizo, Luis Fernando Aguilar Rizo, Miguel Rizo Carballo and Roberto Zamora Valencia had a memorable hunt with WJVS. Ph’s Tomas, Yvan, Supa, Harry and Calvin were kept really busy out in the sticks and everyone had the most enjoyable safari. All our hunters collected the species that they wanted to shoot and some even shot more …. That’s Africa for you! The hunting is great!! All my trophies were really nice. What I liked the most was that my PH was very selective of the animals that he wanted me to shoot. I enjoyed my travels very much and Richard the driver was very helpful and always working with a smile! All the PH’s were very nice and full of fun and we had many, many laughs and jokes. The food was GREAT!! I wanted to take Gibson the Chef back to Mexico with me. It was fantastic to see the little Rhino’s and Lions at the rehabilitation center, thank you to the ladies who shared their knowledge with us ….. Thank you to ALL!!
Hector …… My Kudu hunt was the most exciting time that I had, we walked a lot and the Kudu country was beautiful.

I was not planning on taking the Grand Slam of Springbok but my PH advice was wonderful, I managed to take all 4 Rams with the Black Springbok being an excellent trophy especially!

Here are a few comments from Luis:
This was my first African experience and what great moments. I came to hunt 6 animals and ended up taking 11 species!! Tracker Cephas was incredible especially on the Blue Wildebeest tracks. My PH worked well with me and gave lots of advice about the animals and where to shoot and had patience which is very valuable. The food is amazing, the service outstanding. I will recommend my PH Calvin and Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris … absolutely!!

It was one of the greatest hunts in my life. Ph’s are the greatest people, funny and very helpful. Their job is very professional and excellent hunters. The trackers are also excellent as is Gibson the chef. I am more than totally satisfied with my animals and the hunting. Yvan made me feel like I am at home. This won’t be the last time that I will be hunting here …… See you soon again and thanks for everything!

Excellent time!! Best hunt EVER! My Ph’s (Harry & Tomas) were wonderful and I shot great animals. I felt really special with the staff and the valuable thing is that they treated me as not a client, BUT, as a friend.
